Advanced Nutrients Big Mike at Cannabis Cup 2011

http://www.AdvancedNutrients.com Big Mike of Advanced Nutrients talks to the Urban Grower, Remo, at Cannabis Cup, 2011. The CEO of AN pinpoints the pH Perfect launch in the U.S. as the first week of December, explaining that the State of California has approved pH Perfect, based on a scientific paper. Remo asks him about Jungle Juice–he says the 3-part is doing really well and announces a 2-part Jungle Juice in order to satisfy the marketplace that is looking for a cheaper way to grow hydroponics. He also says that a Komodo Coir nutrient, as well as a Big Bud Coco, are in the pipeline! Advanced Nutrients is now in 64 countries and is doing really well in Europe, especially Spain, Germany, and France. Urban Grower: Medical Marijuana Heart of Gold

flower

Went to a surprise party near Vancouver a few years ago. The surprise was this mysterious medical marijuana grower on the redwood deck outside the party house. The guy was built like a tank but had a very friendly face. He was wearing sunglasses even though sun was nowhere to be seen. All the while, the dude was rolling Cheech and Chong joints crammed with a quarter ounce or more of freshly-ground BC marijuana each. No sooner did he roll, lick, light and pass his marijuana phatties, but he’d reach into an industrial-size ziplock, yank out a handful of sticky, perfectly-manicured reddish-green buds, and start grinding more bud. This guy was a human machine, manufacturing huge blunts! Over the course of the party, his weed was responsible for rocketing dozens of brains into outer space. How to Make your Hydroponic Plants Thrive Alive

flower

It is the goal of any hydroponic grower to be able to produce bigger yields and faster harvests. And this goal entails making the plants thrive alive. This means that plants should not only thrive successfully but also amazingly. To be able to reach this kind of success, plants must be resistant to any disease and be able to weather or battle any infection to grow and flourish exceptionally.

A good point to note when you are truly serious in making your plants thrive alive is to keep your own journal. It can be exceedingly difficult to keep track of all the variables that go in hydroponics. When you make a change that either results in weaker plants or a bigger yield, it can be tough to exactly pinpoint what made your plants change. This is where a grower’s journal is critical. You can use it to keep track of every change in nutrients, watering, pH level, lights, as well as record on how your plants are doing on a day-to-day basis. You can use this data to pin point what factors are helping your plants. In time, you can fine tune all the factors that go into your grow.

Another factor to help you make your plants thrive alive is to invest in a high quality plant stimulant or additive. For hydroponic gardening, picking up a bag of plant nutrients at your local feed store is not going to be enough. You need a plant stimulant that is designed specifically for hydroponic growing. Make sure the fertilizer you purchase comes from a reputable hydroponic retailer to make sure that you get the kind of result you desire.

A great way to stimulate your plants’ growth is by using a foliar spray, such as Advanced Nutrients Nirvana. An extra bonus is that it is 100% organic!

Occupy Wall Street & The Tea Party: Hydroponics Medical Marijuana’s Occupy Weed Street

As a marijuana “activist” who’s done his share of sign-carrying, yelling political slogans, and getting hit by batons and doused with pepper spray at rallies, I feel solidarity for all grassroots protests—including Occupy Wall Street, UC Davis students, the Tea Party, and other freedom movements worldwide.

I mean, really, who isn’t at least a little bit frustrated and worried these days? We might not all agree with everything they say or how they present their messages, but we sure as hell understand why Occupy Wall Street (OWS) and Tea Party protesters complain that a small, ultra-powerful group of people calls the shots. From left to center to right, all sides of the political spectrum agree we’re getting ripped off, stepped on, taken advantage of by greedy people and organizations. More of this at Big Buds Mag…

How to Cultivate Roses that have Bigger Blossoms

Roses are perhaps one of the most favored flowers in the world and every grower would really be very happy to know that roses can be very well grown using the method of hydroponics. And because hydroponics is the way of gardening that can provide a grower with exceptional yields, it also presents the means to grow roses that have bigger blossoms. Roses need a lot of water to grow properly. They do not require excessive temperatures and only require six hours of direct sunlight each day. But in order to ensure that your roses will create bigger blossoms, you must supply them with twelve hours of daylight, followed by twelve hours of darkness each day as soon as they enter the blooming phase. Roses also may require additional carbon dioxide in order to grow properly. Also normal temperatures of between 65 to 75 degrees Fahrenheit are ideal for roses.   However, it is important to take note that roses are often very prone to infestations. Therefore, in order to make sure that you do not sacrifice the possibility of growing roses with bigger blossoms; it is highly advisable that you cultivate your roses indoors in a controlled environment, instead of outdoors. Hydroponics also eliminates soil, which is the breeding ground for many insect enemies of roses. Commercial insecticides can damage or kill your plants. These are not recommended in any case. If you find it necessary to use any product for pests, use the one specially formulated for hydroponic plants. These specially-formulated pest products have been designed to take care of your hydroponics plants as well as to reduce the damage of any pest that may have infected them.   Advanced Nutrients offers two great products to immunize your roses against pests and diseases. They are Bud Factor X and Rhino Skin. Use these products preventatively and you’ll be amazed at the healthier flowers they help produce.   Hydroponics is easy to set up when you’re a hobbyist, but if you have aspirations of becoming a master grower, you owe it to yourself to read the best hydroponics newsletter

Do Carbohydrate Supplements Really Produce Bigger Yields and Root Systems in Hydroponic Gardens

Carbohydrate Supplements4 Do Carbohydrate Supplements Really Produce Bigger Yields and Root Systems in Hydroponic Gardens

http://www.advancednutrients.com/carbs Whether you’re a hobbyist gardener or a professional grower, sooner or later you are going to hear about the carbs controversy…

What I’m talking about is this: Some people claim carbohydrates cannot be absorbed by plants at all, and that carbohydrate supplements are little more than snake oil. Others agree your crops could use an extra boost, but they wrongly assert that carbs cannot be taken up by the roots. Better to apply them by foliar spray, they say. In fact, nothing could be further from the truth. And believe it or not, there are even old-timers who still insist that all you need is molasses. High-grade molasses which is low in sulfur can indeed benefit your plants (if it doesn’t clog up your lines). But what your crops really need is the full spectrum of carbohydrates that matches their species profile. Let’s face it, with so many contradictory viewpoints and misinformation out there, it is no wonder so many growers feel confused. The forums, as always, are abuzz with advice. Everyone has an opinion, and different people will tell you different things. But what does the science say? http://www.advancednutrients.com/carbs
